Travel: Universal Studios Orlando Mardi Gras Festivities Starting Feb 9th!

This Saturday, February 9th, Universal Studios Orlando will be kicking off their Mardi Gras festivities with a special concert by alternative rock band, Lifehouse, with a live performance on the Music Plaza stage.

With popular hits like “Hanging By A Moment,” “You and Me” and “Whatever It Takes,” alternative rockers Lifehouse have sold more than 15 million albums sold worldwide. The band’s music has been featured on hit TV shows, such as “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Scrubs” and “Smallville,” and in films like “The Time Traveler’s Wife.”

Along with the Lifehouse concert, Universal Studios Orlando will have a six-week long Mardi Gras celebration.  The family-friendly celebration runs select nights through April 20th, and will include parades, Mardi Gras beads (remember, this party will be family-friendly), and Universal Studios own French Quarter Courtyard, with authentic New Orleans-style bands, and delicious cajun cuisine!  This years parade will feature new floats inspired by the “Colorful Cultures Around the World” theme, including the Elegance of India float.
