About Me

Hi! I'm Julie, known to my friends as Jules.

If you took Julia Child, June Cleaver, Carol Channing and Wierd Al Yankovic, mixed them together in the Cuisinart, I am what you would get.

This blog is about my life: family and friends, cooking, travel, crafts, and anything else I feel like writing about.  I am a stay-at-home mom, as well as a student finishing my degree in English Lit/Elementary Education. I currently live in the wild west state of Arizona (but have lived several places on both coasts) with my husband, son, and a spoiled rotten wiener dog. If you like what you see, come join me and take a bite out of life.  To connect with me, email me at jules  @alittlebiteoflife (dot) net

My family:
My husband, aka The Old Man (ha ha)

...is obsessed with skiing, our lawn, and his Blackberry.  He's from a small town in upstate NY, and misses the snow (He is crazy!)  He is a corporate dude with a secret classic rocker side.   He is hard working, hard playing, great with numbers, and a bad speller.  He considers chocolate and cookies to be two of the major food groups, and is our resident weekend breakfast chef.  He is handy to have around the house.

            Our son, Little Man

...has read more books than most people read in a lifetime, is the funniest kid you will ever meet, and is great at math.  He loves spaghetti and meatballs, dislikes mushrooms, and picks the onions out of everything.  He never picks up his socks, and thinks our house is a giant Lego table.  He had a short story published at age ten, can speak four languages, and knows Egyptian hieroglyphics.  His teachers call him "the gentleman" and we are blessed to have him.

Freckles
Our little doxie pup is scared of his shadow, but acts ferocious when someone is at the door.  He follows me everywhere and would Velcro himself to me, if he could.  He likes to eat salmon, and loves to take baths.  He is a sock thief, and has wild hair.  He is a crazy, cuddly little wiener dog, and we love having him in our lives.
